Congratulations to Brandon Wheeler who got a special mention in assembly this week for prowess on the tennis court where he and his partner made it all the way to the inter-schools finals but unfortunately lost to Bosch in the finals- sis. Four intrepid geographers; Tshepo, Cameron, Michael K and Shiraz joined Mr Firth on a Geography field trip in Du Toit’s Kloof boldering, swimming, cliff jumping and hiking. It was tiring but exhilarating trip. Tshepo now knows why he does not play polo as he sinks rather well. Cameron did not do any cliff jumps and assured everyone that he just did not enjoy it and it had nothing to do with his total fear of heights. Our food rep, Stratos Samaras, has been seen microwaving his own woollies food for supper! Does he know something we don’t? There was a little more visible academic effort this week after Mr Firth, Mr Wallace and the Stooges started kicking us out of the matric room!
The Eisteddfod portfolio has had a meeting discussing what song we want to sing this year. A list of possible hits was drawn up and, after the matrics have processed these nominees, the chosen song will be announced to the house. All that can be said at this point is the rumour saying that we will be singing ‘Baby’ by Justin Beiber is false.

All in all, just another week in White House.
